Whitstable’s original Charity Toy Run

What is the WTRA...

Whitstable Toy Run is about bikers of all persuasion getting together to help disadvantaged children during bad times in their life. We do this by organising 2 runs; one at Christmas and an Egg Run at Easter along with various events throughout the year. These events are open to whoever wants to turn up but expect to have to put your hand in your pocket to contribute to the charities and causes we support.

The Whitstable Toy Run Association has been revamped, we are still continuing to support local childrens charities.

We have elected a new committee, consisting of existing acting members of the previous committee along with new members who have been involved with the toy run etc. for over 25 years. This will hopefully bring new enthusiasm to both the committee and our supporters and should ensure that the Association will grow from strength to strength.

We hope that the support from the general public along with local businesses and authorities (council, police etc.) can continue and grow with us.

“Just a quick note on behalf of Whitstable Carnival Association to thank you all for your help with Whitstable's 111th Carnival. Without the help of all your marshalls the event, quite simply, could not go ahead. The added bonus of the Toy Run Association organising the Rolling Road Block makes the whole thing a dream to organise and everything runs so smoothly. I hope you will be able to help out for many years to come.

A lot is said about 'Community Spirit' these days and for all voluntary organisations within the town to be able to call on other groups for help when needed is a great sign of that spirit. All of Whitstable's voluntary groups should be striving to build on this and work more closely together so please feel free to ask if there is anything either the association or the Court can do to help you in your fundraising activities.
